چکیده
This work was aimed at isolating and characterising biosurfactant producing bacteria strain from diesel oil contamination sites. The potential of the to degrade n-alkanes further studied. Soil samples were collected rich areas, identified strains grown on minimal media that contained as only carbon source. Enrichment culture technique used identify bacteria. Seventeen based their capacity use Other qualitative screening methods employed determine produce biosurfactants. Isolate A03 candidate shows positive signs for drop collapse, foaming, haemolytic, displacement emulsification tests. effect various parameters (incubation time, concentration diesel, nitrogen source, pH temperature) biodegradation evaluated. Optimum 8.0 35° C, while incubation time maximum growth five (5) days. favourable 7.5% isolate. isolate has shown degradative ability towards dodecane, Tridecane, tetradecane but unable 2, 6, 10-trimethyl- dodecane. It degraded between 10.09% - 45.39% individual alkanes. exhibited degrading alkanes pseudomonas aeruginosa A3 (Accession Number: MZ027605) using 16S rRNA. Sequencing.

Isolation and characterization of diesel-degrading Pseudomonas strains from diesel-contaminated soils in Iran (Fars province)
In this study, among the 21 diesel-degrading bacteria that were isolated from an oil-polluted area in Fars (Iran), 6 bacterial strains were tested for their capability to metabolize and grow on diesel oil by degrading its hydrocarbons content. The biochemical characteristics and 16S rRNA sequence analysis of diesel-degrading bacteria showed that these strains were related to the genus Pseudomon...
متن کاملIndividually and Synergistic Degradation of Hydrocarbons by Biosurfactant Producing Bacteria
Background: Increasing worldwide contamination with hydrocarbons has urged environmental remediation using biological agents such as bacteria. Our goal here was to study the phylogenetic relationship of two crude oil degrader bacteria and investigation of their ability to degrade hydrocarbons. Materials and Methods: Phylogenetic relationship of isolates was determined using morphological and...

متن کاملIsolation and characterization of a regulatory gene affecting rhamnolipid biosurfactant synthesis in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
A mutant strain (65E12) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa that is unable to produce rhamnolipid biosurfactants and lacks rhamnosyltransferase activity was genetically complemented by using a P. aeruginosa PG201 wild-type gene library. A single complementing cosmid was isolated on the basis of surface tension measurements of subcultures of the transconjugants by using a sib selection strategy. The subcl...
متن کاملPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon degradation by biosurfactant-producing Pseudomonas sp. IR1.
We characterized a newly isolated bacterium, designated as IR1, with respect to its ability to degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and to produce biosurfactants. Isolated IR1 was identified as Pseudomonas putida by analysis of 16S rRNA sequences (99.6% homology). It was capable of utilizing two-, three- and four-ring PAHs but not hexadecane and octadecane as a sole carbon and energy...
